A CHANCE TO IMPRESS YOUR FRIENDS - They don't need to know swimming with Black Tipped Reef Sharks is very common in Moorea and they are harmless
Five nights luxury accommodation right on the waters edge of the stunning Cook's Bay at a discounted group booking rate
Dinner on the first night, breakfast on the last morning, and 4 half day boat trips

Cost

Priced from $2,869 NZD for shared accommodation. The final cost depends on whether your luxury sea view suite is shared. You also have the option to make arrangements for your own accommodation. Non swimmers are welcome and are charged room costs only. Send us a booking enquiry with your numbers and accommodation preferences and we will get back with a price.

Itinerary guideline

Following feedback from our experienced charter operator Moorea Eco Tours we have drafted what we believe to be an itinerary that takes in the very best of Moorea as follows:

Sunday – Meet 6:30pm at Cook's Bay Hotel for a welcome and safety talk, then 7pm Group Dinner at Le Cook's Bar and Restaurant (accessible from the footbridge or the sea via the floating pontoon, Le Cook's offers a 180° view of the bay, the pass and the Pacific Ocean).

Monday to Thursday – 4 half days (mornings when the conditions are glassy and clear) swimming supported by our charter boat. We will be covering approximately 4-5 km per day across 2 different swims. Longer distances can be added for those keen to swim more.

For swims off the charter boat, it is possible to divide the group into 2 subgroups to swim different distances, i.e. the first group wanting to swim longer will jump off the boat earlier and the group wanting to cover a shorter distance will hop off the boat later. We have a guide accompanying the swimmers plus the charter boat as support.

Friday – 8am Group Breakfast at Le Cook's Bar and Restaurant. Check out by 11am.

Moorea, French Polynesia

Moorea is a short and scenic 30 minute ferry ride from Papeete, Tahiti.

Air New Zealand and Qantas fly direct to Papeete, Tahiti from New Zealand and Australia.

Other activities in the area

So many choices - where do we start? Snorkeling, lagoon cruises, kayaking, paddle boarding, wakeboarding, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, or simply relax on a secluded white sand beach with a book or cold beverage in hand (or both). Go quad biking, jet skiing, watch the whales from the beach or indulge in a massage or spa. Choose your own activity and pace to experience this Island paradise!

Other important information

Who are these swims for?

The minimum age of swimmers 14 years old (under 18 year old's must be accompanied by adult swimmer). You should have had some previous ocean swim experience and be able to swim 1km in under 40 minutes (flippers allowed).

We accommodate swimmers of different abilities and fitness levels. Flippers are welcome as is taking some time out during the swim and relaxing on the support boat for a spell or just participating in the morning or afternoon swims - the choice is yours!

Non-Swimmers

Non swimming partners/family/friends are welcome to join our trips. They may be able to accompany us on our support boats if there is space available.
