Cost
Priced from $2,369 NZD for standard shared accommodation. The final cost depends on accommodation type chosen and whether your room is single or shared. You also have the option to make arrangements for your own accommodation. Non swimmers are welcome and are charged room costs only. Itinerary guideline
Following feedback from our experienced charter operator Wet & Wild we have drafted what we believe to be an itinerary that takes in the very best of Aitutaki Lagoon as follows:
Sunday – Meet 6:30pm at Ranginui's Retreat for a welcome and safety talk, then 7pm Group Dinner at Blue Lagoon Restaurant and Bar.
Monday to Thursday – 3 full days swimming supported by Wet & Wild. We will be covering approximately 4-5 km per day across 2 different swims (before and after lunch). Longer distances can be added for those keen to swim more.
In addition we have one half day (morning) on the charter boat with the goal of swimming with Humpback Whales! The afternoon can either be free time to explore Aitutaki or include a shorter swim from in front of our accommodation.
For swims off the charter boat, it is possible to divide the group into 2 subgroups to swim different distances, i.e. the first group wanting to swim longer will jump off the boat earlier and the group wanting to cover a shorter distance will hop off the boat later. We have 2 guides accompanying the swimmers plus the charter boat as support.
Friday – 8am Group Breakfast at Koru Café. Check out by 10am.
Aitutaki Lagoon, Cook Islands
Air Rarotonga fly to Aitutaki from Rarotonga a few times every day taking about 50 minutes. Check the Air Rarotonga flight schedule for details.
If you are flying from New Zealand on Air New Zealand you can book tickets to/from Aitutaki via Rarotonga.
Other activities in the area
So many choices - where do we start? Snorkeling, lagoon cruises, kayaking, paddle boarding, wakeboarding, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, or simply relax on a secluded white sand beach with a book or cold beverage in hand (or both). Go kitesurfing, bonefishing, watch the whales from the beach or indulge in a massage or spa. Choose your own activity and pace to experience this Island paradise!

Who are these swims for?
We accommodate swimmers of different abilities and fitness levels. Flippers are welcome as is taking some time out during the swim and relaxing on the support boat for a spell or just participating in the morning or afternoon swims - the choice is yours!
